Bribie is one of our favourite runs — the bridge means no barge logistics, the island has some genuinely beautiful beach and foreshore spots, and our Bray Park (North Brisbane) HQ puts us roughly 45 minutes from Bongaree via the Bruce and the Bribie Island Road. It's effectively a metro-delivery rate for a venue that feels like a proper destination wedding. We service the full island and the mainland gateway — Woorim on the ocean side for surf-facing ceremonies, Bongaree and Bellara on the Pumicestone Passage side for sheltered bay setups, Banksia Beach for the golf-course and lakeside receptions, White Patch for the quieter northern foreshore, plus Sandstone Point Hotel grounds and Ningi on the mainland just before the bridge. Council permits apply for ceremonies on the actual beach or foreshore — we handle the marquee side but the permit is the client's or the wedding planner's responsibility. We'll send you the Moreton Bay Regional Council contact and permit-form links during quoting. Coastal conditions matter here. Bribie gets onshore sea breeze most afternoons — anywhere from 25 to 50km/h — and during summer-storm season the gusts can spike higher. Our clearspan marquees are engineered to Australian Standards and rated to 80km/h so afternoon ceremonies on the Passage side of the island are fine without needing a wind-rated venue. For beach-facing setups at Woorim, we use sand-pegs and ballast weights where pegging into the sand isn't deep enough — we've done dozens of Bribie beach setups and know exactly which pitches work on which sections. Can you set up a marquee directly on the beach at Woorim? +
Yes, subject to council permit and ground conditions. Beach setups use sand-pegs plus ballast weights where sand-pegging isn't deep enough. You or your wedding planner secures the Moreton Bay Regional Council permit — we handle the marquee, flooring and install.
Will the marquee handle the sea breeze? +
Yes. All our clearspan frames are rated to 80km/h winds. Normal Bribie onshore breeze of 25–50km/h is well within spec. During cyclone warnings or severe weather, we have an on-call crew that can break down the marquee in under two hours.
Do you need to be near mains power on Bribie? +
Not necessarily. We own our generators — 2kVA through 60kVA — so beach, foreshore and remote-corner-of-the-property setups still get full festoon, PA and cool-room power. A 6–10kVA unit covers most Bribie weddings.
How far ahead should a Bribie wedding book? +
Peak is September through May. For Saturday weddings in that window, 4–6 months ahead is safe. Shoulder months (June–August) we can often turn around a booking inside a fortnight.
Do you service Sandstone Point Hotel events? +
Yes. Private marquees on the Sandstone Point Hotel grounds (not hotel functions booked through their in-house team) are a regular run. We also service the surrounding Ningi and Sandstone Point residential areas on the mainland side of the bridge.
