How big is the cold room?
Walk-in size — enough to store drinks, platters, and catering supplies for events up to 200 guests. Contact us with your specific storage needs for a recommendation.
Does the cold room need power the whole time?
Yes — it needs continuous 240V power to maintain temperature. A 10kVA generator is sufficient if mains power is not available at your venue.
Where do you position the cold room?
On level ground accessible by our delivery vehicle. Typically near the catering area but out of guest sight. We position it during setup — it stays for the duration of your hire period.
Can I use it as a freezer?
Yes. Temperature is adjustable — it can run as a fridge (2-4°C) or freezer (-18°C) depending on your needs.
Is the weekly rate better value than multiple short-term hires?
Yes. The short-term rate is $280 for up to 96 hours. Two short-term hires ($560) cover 8 days. The weekly rate ($1,130) covers 7 days — for events over 4 days, the weekly rate is the right choice.
Can the cold room be refuelled/maintained during the week?
If running on a generator, we can arrange refuelling. The cold room itself requires no maintenance during the hire period — just continuous power.
Do you deliver to festival sites?
Yes. We deliver to festival sites, showgrounds, farms, and commercial properties across South East Queensland. Vehicle access to the positioning point is required.
